ANYTHING

Is there anything I can get you, is there anything?
I really don’t mind as long as you will stay around.
Maybe a brand new car, or even a wishing star,
I just don’t care because it’s cheaper by the pound

Is there anything I can get you, I’m already going out?
I really won’t mind if you will see through this disguise.
A great big bottle of scotch, a new tv to watch;
I’m trying hard the wrong way to be wise.
ch:
I know it’s not the answer
You must realize I am just what I am
A cripple trying to be a dancer
So you must look twice, see the flood behind the dam

Is there anything I can get you, you know I’d find a way?
While I am out you can just think on it a while.
Maybe a song to sing, or even a diamond ring
I’ll make my point with very little guile.
ch:
I know it’s not the answer
But you are so defined, you don’t need any man
A cripple wants to be a dancer,
So your life is so confined, but you’ll help him walk again.

Inside you know the answer
And I realize just what you’re scared of
Two cripples being dancers,
And you will ask me too and then we’ll know it’s love.

Is there anything I can get you,
Darlin’ anything?
